2BR/1.5BA. Work from home with two real office desks & chairs in separate rooms. This unit does not share walls with any other unit. Relax on the large patio in the backyard. Kitchen fully equipped for real cooking. Strong Wifi.

The terrazzo floors and brightly tiled bathroom are original from the 1960's. The cast iron in the tub shows through in gray where the enamel has worn off.
If you love vintage details with signs of age, this is a good choice for you.

Kitchen -- modern and fully equipped for real cooking. You'll find non-stick pots & pans, sharp knives, and a good array of utensils. It's all quality stuff, not the flimsy junk common to vacation rentals.

Dishwasher -- yes! There is a full-size dishwasher!

Groceries -- Whole Foods is right across the street, Trader's Joe's is a few blocks down, and there are two Publix (full-size, mid-price grocery store) within a short drive.

Central Air -- yes, and you can control the thermostat!

Washer & dryer -- right outside the front door. They are coin-operated, but they are semi-private to this unit. I tell guests in the other units to use the common laundry room, and this W/D set is available to them only in emergencies.

Work from Home -- two real office desks & chairs. The Wifi modem is right under the desk if you need an ethernet jack.

Wifi -- the AT&T modem is right in the unit. In addition, as a backup, we have a high speed Comcast line coming into another unit. You'll get the password for both. You'll have strong Wifi through the entire unit and in the backyard. I've never seen another Airbnb with redundant Wifi!

Smart TV -- you can log on to your Netflix, HBO or other streaming accounts. (Sorry, no cable.)

Private patio -- the backyard is exclusive to this unit and is surrounded by a curtain of tall, dense plants. (Look for it in the pictures!)

Strong Wi-fi in the entire apartment. 40" Smart TV with local channels. You can use your own streaming subscription like HBO, Netflix, Hulu, etc on the TV.

Beach gear -- we supply chairs, towels, umbrellas and a cooler.

Mattress -- medium-firm, but no memory foam.

Parking -- there is plenty of space in the off-street parking area for two full-size cars.

You will have the whole apartment to yourself.

I live in Europe, so I can't come and greet you in person. You'll find the key to the unit in a lockbox. My property manager lives less than a mile away in case of emergencies.

Poinsettia Heights is a quiet residential neighborhood of small, 1950's one-story houses. It went through a period of rejuvenation a few years ago. The lawns are well kept and there are many examples of period architecture.

I wouldn't recommend public transportation for anywhere in Fort Lauderdale. Plan to rent a car or use Uber/Lyft. You can walk to Whole Foods, Starbucks, and several restaurants.

This apartment is close to many major bus lines going directly to the beach, the malls, and downtown. Nevertheless, I recommend renting a car or using Uber or Lyft when visiting Fort Lauderdale.
